How to download mods for non steam games






















The easiest way to install mods is to subscribe to them via the Steam Workshop. Subscribing to a mod installs it automatically. In the list of links on the right-hand side of the window, select Community Hub. Use the Browse tab in the workshop to search for mods. The next time you launch the game, any mods to which you have subscribed will appear in the Mod Manager on the pre-game Options window.

From the Workshop tab , place your mouse pointer over the Browse tab , then select Subscribed Items from the drop-down menu. A list of the mods to which you are subscribed will appear. Click on the Unsubscribe button next to a mod to unsubscribe from it. It's also possible to download mods from sources other than the Steam Workshop. In this case, you'll need to install the mod manually. In the list of games on the left-hand side of the window, right-click on XCOM 2 , then select Properties.

The next time you launch the game, the mod will appear in the Mod Manager on the pre-game Options window. On Nexusmods you have to log in first and then click manual download. Each mod will have different files to download. You have to follow the directions from the mod developer to install the particular mod you want. In this particular mod the Ronin Base file is required to be installed first for it to work.

There are also sometimes optional files if you want even more features in the mod. You can also see the required game version for the different downloads. Smaller mods requires only one download. The downloaded file is usually a. Once it is opened you can see the module files. Now you have to move the newly downloaded mod folders into your games module folder.

Just drag and drop it directly from the opened RAR file. In this case you also need to move the Native folder in there to change some default settings of the game. Click accept when it asks to overwrite or replace any files. From there you have to select the mod that you have just moved into the games modules folder. The mod has now successfully been installed to your game. I tried to download a few maps, however I could not get it working.

With IE11 I received a "http error" after clicking on the download button and with latest stable firefox, the download button seems to have no effect browser does not show any indication, of something being queued up , not even a message in the status bar.

Must be some temporary black-out. Put the stuff you just made inside there and go back to the launcher. Add the mod to your playset and enable it. You should be good to go.

Playsets are simply an additional layer of organization that you can apply to different mod s and groups of mods. For example, if you enable some mods in your initial playset , then they will always start when you go to play that playset.
